Alterations

A garment that fits is a garment you’ll keep. Our tailor works in-house, in the back of the shop, so every piece is measured, pinned and sewn under one roof and never sent out.

We take the time to fit you properly: in the shoes you’ll wear, with the shirt that goes underneath, standing and seated. Small things like a sleeve showing a quarter inch of cuff, or a hem that just kisses the shoe, are what make a garment look like it was made for you.

Every alteration comes back with a complimentary press.

The Fitting

Walk in during opening hours, or book a quiet appointment on Sunday or Monday.

  1. Try OnWear the garment as you’ll wear it, with shoes and layers.
  2. Pin & ChalkWe mark every change on you, and you approve it in the mirror.
  3. TailorSewn by hand and machine in our workroom, never sent out.
  4. Final PressA last try-on if you’d like one, then pressed and covered.

Standard turnaround is seven days. Rush service in 48 hours is available for most work at an additional 50%.

Bridal & Formal

Wedding gowns, bridesmaid dresses, black tie and heirloom pieces are fitted by appointment. Most gowns take three fittings over six to eight weeks, so we suggest coming in two months before the day.
